Little Gems Nursery is a well established C.S.S.I.W and Estyn inspected nursery, providing the highest quality of childcare for children from 18 months to 5 years old. We are based near Pontcanna with only a 10 minute walk into the city centre. We are easily accessible from all major routes into Cardiff with a free local car park.

The nursery is furnished to a high standard, it is extremely well equipped with toys, books and craft materials, which have been chosen to stimulate your child and help them develop to their highest potential. We place the main emphasis of our daily routine on learning through play via the foundation phase and Birth to three matters. We have a themed approach to planning activities.

At Little Gems nursery we believe if things are enjoyable for the child then it is far easier to stimulate that child. With the growing interest in welsh medium education and as welsh is now a big part of all schools curriculum, we believe that we can offer an essential introduction to the welsh language. We actively encourage every child to produce individual pieces of work as well as taking part in group projects for wall displays thus encouraging every child’s sense of pride and achievement in their work. Activities such as singing and music are intermingled and taught with enthusiasm to encourage a child’s interest. Every child is different and whilst all nurseries have some conformity in the activities that the children pursue; a wide variety of activities are provided so that each child can have the opportunity of attempting different obstacles at their own pace that he or she may excel.

The Nursery is benefited by a safe enclosed outdoor play area offering lots of space for your child to enhance their physical development. The children enjoy planting, growing their own vegetables and digging, helping to enhance their exploration and discovery skills.
